Books
Look what came in the mail this week. I am trying my hand at socks. These books have so many nice patterns, I just have to sit down and create them. Really looking forward to it.
Thanks, I was a little leary of getting them, but after reading the reviews, thought I would give it a try. This is my first sock and I decided to start off using dpns to get a feel for it, becasue I thought the 2 circ needle method and the toe up method may be hard for a first timer. Tonight I turned the heal and am now knitting the foot part. I think I picked up an extra stitch somewhere, but I decided to continue knitting just to see how it would come out and get a general undersanding of the construction/termonolgy used. I really like it so far (however I picked a 100% mercinized cotton and it is a little rough working with, but I am getting the hang of it. So may choices out there.
You've got some great books! I love making socks. How is it going?
