Current Craft Projects

Quilting:
Coin quilt-I heard about this through a flickr group that I joined. I immediately separated my scraps and finished most of the top, just need to add borders and quilt it. Amazing how you can make scraps look good. http://www.flickr.com/groups/2009coinquiltpiecealong/ (expected completion date 10/09, I am needing to add one more border to enlarge the quilt and then it is ready to be quilted and bound, this is next in line to be worked on 09/2010)

Wonky Stars-I used the technique from The Silly BooDilly.  Completed 8 different stars, now will put it into a scrappy type quilt and give it to charity. (expected completion date 12/09, this was put the side as I ran out of the fabric I started with, have to debate what type of setting I could use to get a good use of the stars, 09/2010)

Freeze-Frame-This is really pretty and I think depending on the color of fabric it could really stand out. http://www.patchworktimes.com/quilt-for-an-hour-projects/freeze-frame/ (expected completion date 12/09)

Paper Piece-When I came across this, I was blown away at how pretty this was and how quick you can put the blocks together. I hope to start this one in November http://sometimescrafter.blogspot.com/2009/08/tutorial-paper-piecing-block.html (expected completion date 12/09)

Heart-Hug-This block would be great as a lap quilt for charity. I have tons of scraps: http://piecemealquilts.wordpress.com/2008/10/06/heart-hug-quilt/ (expected completion date 01/10)

String Quilt-This is just way cool, enough said. http://www.psiquilt.com/2009/05/block-o-strings-tutorial.html (expected completion date 01/10)

Log Cabin-Only done one block so far, learning to paper piece and this goes by much faster that way.

Sewing:

Knitting:
*Socks from the book Getting Started Knitting Socks by Ann Budd, can you believe I am already getting ready to turn the heal and I started yesterday. I decided to make ankle socks to see if I can do this. AMAZING. I finished one sock a few months ago, but as they say people suffer from SSS (Second Sock Syndrome), but this was after my first one. HA HA.
